Creating a final painting begins with nature itself, captured through the camera lens. This initial step allows to bring the experience into the piece. Having met the subjects and been in their presence inspire the design of the piece. Many times creating a painting that includes a species that I have not been able to photograph myself, I will seek the amazing photographers that spend their lives traveling and finding amazing animals. In an effort to support their art, I will reach out and license their image to use as a reference. Countless hours are spent meticulously working on each aspect, ensuring that every minute detail and element of realism is thoughtfully included. The result is a stunning piece that reflects both the beauty of the natural world and the dedication poured into its creation.
